Update on Spaz
So I think I've successfully managed to save my rabbit from fly strike which usually kills a rabbit within 24 hours. I caught it quick enough, treated it, and have been treating her wounds for 4-5 days now, and she's back her her normal spaz self! Woo hoo....I knew I shoulda been a vet. ;)
So my friend wants me to train for a 5K...
Ok is this what I need to push me over the edge?? I finally bought a wii fit the other day, and yesterday I "exercised" (aka had fun unlocking new activities) for 2 hours! Had a great time, muscles are sore this morning. It has a jogging thing on there where you put the wii-mote in your pocket and jog in place in your living room (or jog in short circles, figure 8s, whatever, just jogging). The "short" is 3 minutes....I thought I was going to DIE!!! The "long distance" is 5 minutes which I still managed to do.... once. I have a fear of running. I hate running. To me running is extremely borrrring. Which is why I opted to play softball when I was growing up and not basketball or soccer, or cross country....I was in track, but I was smart, I was a thrower, not a runner. Softball, max is 240 ft around the bases if you hit a homerun, that's it! I don't own a Zune or iPod....I DO have a Walkman that I can play cassette tapes on....oh, those were the days. LOL
But I look at the Cool Runnings page (http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml)
and I'm like "Wow, 9 weeks? That's it? 9 Weeks and I could lose a LOT of weight doing this, and be in shape and healthier by the time I'm done!" But omg, I was sweating and panting just reading it!
Ok so here's where I stand. Can I really go from my fat, couch potatoed, always hated running self to running a 5K by November? Sure I COULD if I WANTED to......but do I want to? It seriously scares me. But like I said, it might just be what I need to push me over the edge and get me commmitted to a good workout/weight loss program. I think I need psychotherapy. Where's the chocolate?! :)

Spaz the rabbit
I'm feeling like such a bad rabbit owner. :( I went to check on my rabbits this morning and Spaz has fly strike (ie, open wound near her tail with flies, etc). I went ahead and took her out of her cage, bathed her with baby shampoo and cleaned her up as good as I could, treated her with antibiotic ointment, scrubbed her cage down, then sprayed her with insect repellant before putting her back in. From what I've read it's not a good situation. I'm just feeling sick to my stomach....

Addicted to YouTube...and Webkinz...fun combo
Hi, I'm addicted to YouTube....and Webkinz. And what do you get when you mix the two? Well, a bunch of fun Webkinz videos! I've posted a few "movies" of screen shots from my Webkinz addiction and have been loving the comments and the friend requests and the subscribers and the......the list goes on. I never knew YouTube could be so affirming. What do these people expect from me now? A video a week? Tempting....very, very tempting

Six months without blogging makes one.....
....wonder why in the heck I should be blogging at all. LOL Seriously I said in my last post I was going to keep this up. A previous post of mine wonders who my audience is...what do I write about, who do I write to, do I write even though stuff may offend people. Oops, and what about anonymity?? Cripe, should I change names of people to protect the innocent (or guilty)?

About blogging
I'm really really thinking about posting regularly on here now....been toying with the idea for awhile now, sorry it's taken me so long. :)
Christmas morning surprise
When mom came up for Christmas, she brought with her an entire box full of slides and a slide projector tray full of slides, but no one knows where the actual projector is. The slides are nothing but family photos mostly of my dad and such from when I was little......wow. I might have to find an antique shop or see if maybe a library has one I can borrow? Or heck surely there's a way to just take them somewhere and have actual pictures made? If you'd like to know more to the story, read on
Evidently one of the "meetings" DH had in Oklahoma City one evening was with my mom. He called me that night to let me know he was done with most of his meetings and he was in downtown. Well, I had talked to my mom earlier and knew she was working late and since her office is downtown, I suggested he call her and go out for a coffee or something. He thought that was a good idea so I called mom and told her DH was in town and only a few blocks away and that he would be calling to take her out for a coffee. Afterall, they were both "done" with working a late evening so it worked out perfectly.....at least from my perspective. What I *didn't* know (until Christmas morning) was DH had been at mom's office the whole evening and when I called and talked to them both to arrange a coffee outing they had actually only been rooms apart in the same building. LOL What were they working on you ask?? Mom had a huge box of pictures of dad that she and DH were working together to scan to disk.....when they were finished, they had 4 CD Roms completely FULL of pictures they had scanned. For Christmas, DH was going to give me one of those photo montage books from Heritage Makers (I think they are like creative memories? I don't know), but hadn't gotten around to picking out the pictures for it yet, so now I get to go through them all and help pic out pictures. He was planning on doing this last year when it would have been more "appropriate" timing-wise, but never got around to it and has had the box of pictures in his office for the past year!!!
So needless to say, I was a bawling blubbering mess (happy, not sad) Christmas morning....my husband is so thoughtful. ;)So now you have the full story, I warned you, the delete key was right there and you never pushed it. Oh and mom also brought me two letters dad had written her while they were dating and he was in boot camp before going to Vietnam...talk about weird.
